Alicia & Sanel's Wedding at the UBC Botanical Garden

As I go back and review the images from each wedding, I am constantly reminded of how lucky I am to be doing what I'm doing.  Being part of the most important day of a couple's lives is supremely rewarding and I am grateful to be just a small part of their big day.  You may remember Sanel and Alicia from our awesome carnival themed engagement shoot or their first date engagement shoot in Gastown.  I just couldn't wait to shoot their wedding and boy did it deliver.  The venue, decorations, the bridal party, even the weather was on point.  It was one of those days where it was hard to take a bad photo as everything was absolutely beautiful.  From the gorgeous girls getting ready and the secluded lawn and arbour ceremony, to the emotional speeches and the crazy dance party that followed, this was simply an amazing wedding that reminded me how incredibly lucky I am.  Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Alicia and Sanel's Gastown Engagement Session at The Diamond

Whats better than one engagement session?  How about two?  You may remember Alicia and Sanel's carnival themed engagement photoshoot, but this time we wanted to do something even more special.  The day started at The Diamond, an elegant craft cocktail lounge with old-world charm overlooking Maple Tree Square, also the location for Alicia and Sanel's first date.  After strolling around Gastown, we headed to Crab Park to catch some beautiful views of Vancouver's skyline before heading to the Vancouver Convention Center.  With one week left before they tie the knot, I literally cannot wait to be part of their wedding!  Check out some of my favorites from the session.

Ravina and Matt's Outdoor Wedding at George Wainborn Park

What a wonderfully unique wedding this was!  I first met Ravina and Matt at a local coffee shop close to my home in Richmond.  When they told me their plans for their wedding, I knew it was going to be a good one.  They had planned an outdoor ceremony in George Wainborn Park in Downtown Vancouver.  After the ceremony, the entire wedding party (including guests!) would walk from the park to the reception.  With music in tow, Ravina and Matt were met with smiles with the occasional congratulations by onlookers.  Following a fantastic meal at Provence Marinaside, guests enjoyed some memorable speeches before everyone came together for the "First Group Dance".  Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Selina and Edwin's Engagement Session in Vancouver

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is hearing about the engagement and how the wedding proposal went down.  Edwin's carefully planned birthday proposal to Selina was just about one of the best proposals I've heard, from flowers and notes to a custom printed boarding pass and a hand-made ring.  We started our session at the Olympic Village, eventually making our way to Kits Beach where we caught the gorgeous Golden Hour sunset.  After sitting down for dinner, we finished the night at Granville Island for some light painting by the pier.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Alicia and Sanel's Engagement Photoshoot at the Lansdowne Center Carnival in Richmond, BC

Who doesn't love a great engagement session?  I first met Alicia and Sanel at a Yaletown coffee shop when they told me their wedding plans for the coming year.  We talked about their ideas for photography and it was then I realized I was going to have fun photographing this couple.  Their lively and outgoing demeanor meant we could step out of our comfort zone and try different things to capture amazing images.  From posing at the top of the classic Ferris Wheel to light painting in front of the STARSHIP2000, we had a great time at the Lansdowne Center Carnival.  I simply cannot wait to get these two in front of my camera again for our next shoot!  Here are some of my favorites from the night.
